Well I cross reference my air filter and cabin filters found the same one from the manufacturer Mercedes’ use “hints model number on the parts from original manufacture “ usually . Purchased Mobile 1 full synthetic European or what’s used at dealer purchased Mercedes’ oil filter from dealer ( just to be safe) I spent honesty $130 and fyi I did use suction to remove the oil from dip stick purchased from Amazon .

I own a BMW 520d F11 and C63 AMG estate 476hp from 2016. I live in Germany. Yearly tax on my 520d is 228 eur,while for c63 it is 282 eur. A small difference. Insurance is 40eur/month for 520d and 80 eur for c63 - both are partially comprehensive. C63 takes about 12-13l combined while the 520d takes 7.5-8. With all that,i don't think c63 is very expensive to run here,because it isn't such a big difference between a normal 190hp diesel and a 500hp petrol v8 car. I change my oil,filters,brakes,a few hoses that break alone. I'm not a mechanic but i do know some simple work on the car. Only thing that is much more expensive on the c63 is the headlight group,brakes and suspension parts. Luckily in 30 000 km on the c63 nothing broke yet,just needed the regular maintenance,oil and filters + tires (i get a lot of discounts on online sites and even when i can't change something on the car myself i don't take the car to the official dealership but rather to my local mechanic that i know for a long time). And yeah,don't crucify me because i don't take the c63 to the mercedes dealership,because car already has 200 000 km on the clock,and it doesn't make sense to take it there anymore,plus the car is running absolutely perfect,you don't need to be a mercedes technician to take good care of your car). I test drove an M4 while it was still on the electronically controlled break in limit. In the comfort mode, it can drive like a Lexus if you don't push it, and you shouldn't. Then I test drove an M3 with 6K miles, and I do agree, you have to hold it from going fast if your preferred way of driving is Lexus style. Anyway, it's possible to drive it reasonably comfortable. But I only drive manual transmission, so it's much easier to control the car. Automatic requires more learning. 5 months isn't enough.

I am currently driving the CLA 45 S AMG and i am currently thinking about switching to the C63s Facelift. Would you recommend it? You drove both cars and you know the pros and cons so an advice would be greatly appreciated.

The dealership wanted 1K for a Service B on GLS. I completed myself for $321.00. This included oil, filter, cabin filter, break fluid change, and the purchase of a vacuum break bleader. Didn't need new wiper blades as we don't get snow and maybe 10 days of rain a year. I also had the tires rotated and balanced for free as I purchased the road hazard at Discount for $400.00 when I purchased the car. Most people don't know you can do this. It took me about two hours to complete it w/o any help.
